Terms and Conditions
Zoom Studios Ltd ("we," "our," "us", "The Photographers") trading as Zoom Photography Studio provides its services subject to the following terms and conditions. By engaging with our services, you agree to these terms.
1.1. Due to the custom nature of our services, all sales are final. Goods are supplied upon receipt of full payment by Guy Mayer, Zoom Photography Studio (hereinafter referred to as "The Photographers"). Goods are not supplied on a sale or return, consignment, or approval basis. Once an order is placed, it cannot be cancelled or altered, and no refunds will be given. There is no legal cooling-off period for orders placed in person. This does not affect your statutory rights.
1.2. Timescales: Unless otherwise informed or delayed awaiting client response, digital images will be available approximately within 28 days. Books, wall art, and third-party products may take up to approximately 8 weeks.
1.3. Our books are designed in the House Style as presented in our sample books. Just so you know, specific requests must be documented at the time of order.
1.4. All goods remain the property of The Photographers until paid for in full and will bear the company name and signature.
1.5. The client is responsible for ensuring their order has been accurately documented on their invoice. Changes made to the order after confirmation will be chargeable in full.
2.1. The photographers retain the copyright of all images taken. These are considered artistic works. The photographers do not use facial recognition features when taking or processing images, so they cannot be classified as personal data under GDPR guidelines. Reproduction of these photographs by any means without written permission is strictly prohibited and constitutes a criminal offence under the 1988 Copyright Act. An appropriate licence will be issued with purchased digital images.
2.2. The client grants all necessary permissions under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 to allow The Photographers to use any images created under these terms as is reasonable, including for display, exhibition, advertising, and competitions. Clients may generally be informed of such usage and may benefit from any competition prize monies.
2.3. The client must explicitly inform us when placing the order if the images are not to be used for display purposes, owing to the client’s sensitive circumstances. No liability will be accepted for any mistaken usage of images beyond the prompt removal from display upon notification.
3. Payments and Fees
3.1. Payments must be completed in full when placing an order unless you agree to an alternative arrangement.
3.2. A surcharge of £20 will apply if any cheque is returned by the bank unpaid or if a card payment is declined, to cover additional administrative costs.
3.3. Zoom Studios Ltd reserves the right to charge interest on unpaid amounts at 8% above the Bank of England base rate. This does not apply to agreed extended credit arrangements unless scheduled payments remain unpaid.
3.4. Unpaid accounts may be transferred to a debt collection agency. The client will be liable for all collection charges and costs, which will exceed 15% of the debt and be subject to VAT.
4.1. The Photographers will hold all personal details provided by the client on secure databases. The companies used for data storage are UK-based, GDPR-compliant, and backed up securely.
4.2. Personal data will be used to invoice and communicate with clients regarding their photography. Details will not be shared with third parties without consent.
4.3. Clients may occasionally be contacted for follow-up communication or newsletters after their photography session.
4.4. All email communication will be stored securely.
4.5. Bank account or credit card details will not be stored. Once a transaction is processed, any recorded payment details will be securely shredded.
4.6. Clients may request to view the personal data held about them. Details on how to make this request can be found by visiting
5. Safety and CCTV
5.1. CCTV monitors our premises to ensure the safety and security of staff, customers, and property. By entering our premises, clients consent to this use of CCTV.
5.2. Zoom Studios Ltd has a range of safety and protection policies in place. For copies of these, please ask a member of staff.
6.1. Participation in a photography session or the placement of an order indicates acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
6.2. By placing this order, clients confirm that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.
